Driving 0→1 Privacy Innovation

Mozilla

Mozilla set out to strengthen its privacy-focused suite with the VPN, Monitor and Relay products, competing in a saturated security market while upholding its values of transparency and trust.

As the Head of Privacy Consumer Product UX, I was responsible for vision, team leadership, and UX strategy from 0→1.

Mozilla
The problem

Users needed secure, easy-to-use privacy products without friction, but competitive solutions were already well established.

Mozilla
The solution

Team Scaling & Culture: Grew UX team from 2 to 12, fostering a diverse, collaborative environment.

0→1 Product Design: Led the team that conducted discovery research, created personas, and built designs for VPN, Monitor and Relay.

Design System Development: Established scalable components, improving design velocity and consistency across privacy products.

User-Centered Roadmap: Integrated feedback loops, usability testing, and A/B experiments to guide feature priorities.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partnered with product, engineering, and marketing for alignment on timelines and KPIs.
